Couple Who Avoided Plane Crash Changed Their Tickets

A couple who were inferred to be on Sunday’s punished Russian plane crash changed their tickets at the last minute — because a car they planned to buy wasn’t ready on time, following to a new report.

Maxim Kolomeytsev, who turned 35 on Sunday, was going to be on deadly flight 6W703 with his 25-year-old girlfriend Nazezha so they could expend his birthday with family in the city or Orsk, East 2 West news reported.

The lucky businessman also planned on gifting himself a new car from a dealership in his home burg but the show-room called to say it wouldn’t be ready on time.

“When I found out the car was not ready I late the trip by a week,” he said.

Changing their tickets cost about $170, Kolomeytsev said.

“But we’ve got our lives,” he added.

The traveler plane belonging to Russian commercial carrier Saratov Airlines crashed nearly five minutes after taking off for Orsk from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, killing all 71 people on board.
